Dear Santa,

I don’t need much. I got a good home, and some fine humans, but I would LOVE a refrigerator with easy doggie access stuffed with hotdogs, and endless marrow bones. Is it too much to ask for a little more meat around here? My brother Teddy doesn’t know (and doesn’t want to know) much about these internets, and he asked me to write for him. He would like a new dog bed with a raised edge for a built in snout pillow-he’s got quite a honker you know. He requests that the dog bed never be moved or washed and that visiting dogs are not allowed on it.He also requests for it to be placed by the heat wall, as this is where he lays.What we all really want more than anything is more time off leash walkies—Beach, woods, swamps, fields, ponds, all good! We have been very good little pups this year (you can ask Mom – I think she forgot all about the incident with me and the gum)! For Christmas toys we would like: Rope Toys,Squeakies, and Sassy says a talking toy would be fun! Oh, and if you can just make sure those silly hats with the bells, or antlers don't make it here that would be swell! Also I want my mom and dad available 24/7, so I can keep an eye on them, you know, that Lassie thing. It's my job to keep them safe...along with Sassy who taught me how to shadow. I just want to be with my mom all the time. I get really nervous when she’s away. my brother and sisters are nice but can’t compare to mommy! Please take away that crate bed, and give it to some less fortunate pup out there... I far prefer sleeping on the bed to some rubbish blanket on the floor! We ALL want unlimited people food – mainly roast beef and turkey – but will settle for chicken. Pippy says to surprise her, Anything at all, as long as it’s edible. And for Sassy to stop stepping on her as if she isn't there. As for me, I want lots and lots of squeak toys. Mommy says that might be a problem and if it is, I’ll settle for a body massage for a whole hour. And if it’s not asking too much, Santa, could you get me some baby t-shirts to wear around the house? Even though the heat’s on, I’m a little guy and it gets a little drafty.We ALL want turkey pieces and maybe just a tiny taste of the pumpkin pie we hear about so often...that's for mommy. Actually Santa, we just want to spend the day with Mommy& Daddy. So instead we want other dogs and cats to be as lucky as we are – we have a home! And Santa, one more thing? If there’s any way you can do it, please give the animals in the shelters a nice meal so their tummies are full.

You have been so good and wrote such a lovely letter... I can tell you have a very very good puppy this year.

All your requests are just wonderful, and I have already taken care of one of your special and unselfish requests. You see, Beaufort SC is one of my favorite places to visit, as the local Humane Association (www.palmettoanimalleague.org) is 100% foster care, no single shelter... so I got my elves to gather up some extra food for some special pets waiting for permanent homes. I told each and every one the extra food came especially from Canine Elf Moe... and they all smiled in their special all-loving way...

Merry Christmas, and take care of your mommy and daddy... they are very special to Santa, too!...
